It’s a pilgrimage from the basics of saying a brief public prayer, to leading small group prayer, and concludes with guiding congregational prayer. Whether you’re a new Christian, just beginning your prayer walk with God, or a veteran prayer warrior; you’ll find new insights all along the way.

It’s titled Prayer Guide because it will train you to ‘guide’ others into the presence of God. It’s called a manual because it’s intended to be used and reused through the years as you grow in your service to Christ.

Q - What's an e-book?

A - E-book stands for 'electronic book'. You don't actually get an electronic book; what you get is a computer file that contains all the information in the book. You can view this file on any computer screen and therefore read the book without actually having the printed book.

Q - What's the point? Why would I want an e-book?

A - It costs less. It doesn't take up any space so you can accumulate a whole library of e-books and carry them around in a laptop computer or other electronic device. Perhaps most importantly, it's interactive. With one click you can jump instantly to a reference or page number. For instance if you're looking for help with 'prayer requests'. There are three ways you could find help.

• Click on that chapter in the table of contents.
• Do a word search for 'prayer requests'.
• Click on the page # by 'prayer-requests' in the index.

Q - Can I read it on my handheld electronic device?

A - The Prayer Guide eBook sold here comes with a separate ePub file that should work with most handheld reading devices. If your reading device doesn't use the ePub format, there's a good chance it came with software that will convert ePub to whatever format it does use.

We've also made the Prayer Guide book available through Google Books because their eBook format is formatted for handheld devices.

We've also made the Prayer Guide eBook available on Kindle. Amazon.com provides free applications for reading Kindle eBooks for PCs, iphones, ipads, android cell phones, and just about anything else.

Q - Does the e-book look like the printed book?

A - The eBook is exactly like it. The ePub format doesn't have the covers and the pages are formatted differently, but the text is the same.

Q - Will I be able to print the e-book with my computer printer so I can use it like a regular book?

A - No. Printing is blocked and it's illegal to copy copywrite material. But the unbound book with shipping comes to less than 9 cents per page. You couldn't buy the eBook and copy it for that anyway. And we offer bulk prices and free shipping if you need multiple copies.

Q - How do I get the e-book download to my computer?

A - After you pay for the e-book and your order is processed by Stonehouse Creations; you'll receive an email with a link to a webpage where you can download the files.

• Follow the instructions to begin the download process.
• You'll probably be given a choice of 'saving' or 'opening' the file. Save it. Then you'll be asked where to save it. Save it to your desktop. This is usually the default location. Doing this will place a little icon on the opening screen of your computer that you can double click to open the book.
• If your computer try's to open the file before asking where to save it; that's OK, just be sure you save it.

Q - I bought the e-book CD. How do I get it to my computer?

A - Your computer must have a CD player. The e-book CD will come to you by mail. When you receive it, place it in your computer. The computer should recognize the CD and ask what you want to do with it. (In some cases, it may open the eBook automatically.) You can open the file from the CD or copy it to your desktop. I suggest you copy it to your desktop.

Q - How do I read an e-book?

A - If you've saved the file to your desktop, there'll be a little icon there that says Prayer Guide E-book. Double click it and the file will be opened by the Adobe Reader. Turn pages by clicking on the directional arrows. There are several ways to change the size of the page so that the text is clear. Look for a magnifying glass icon.
